OTI has recently acquired Rider in the Snow. A quality 5yo French import, he is a winner of three races and has been placed on six other occasions from 10 starts.
With a French rating of 92 as a 3yo, he was able to beat many horses who have since performed well in Australia. This includes the OTI-owned Attorney, a winner of his first two races in NSW since arriving from France last year.
After his 4yo year was disrupted with injury, Rider in the Snow made his return to the track in late 2019. His performances since suggests that he has lost none of the talent he demonstrated earlier in his career.
The gelding is beautifully bred. By Intello and out of Quezon Son, a daughter of the great broodmare sire, Monsun. Rider in the Snow is also a half-brother to G1 winning stayer, Mille et Mille.
Kris Lees will train the horse from his Newcastle training facility. With a proven record in training quality stayers, we look forward to seeing the level Rider in the Snow can reach in Australian staying races.
