The OTI Team
Meet the team that makes up one of the leading racehorse syndication companies in Australia.
Terry has been CEO of OTI Management Pty Ltd since its incorporation in 1999.
Terry holds a Bachelor of Business and Transport Economics. He has held numerous positions on boards, and has been chairman of a number of private companies. In his own right, Terry formed and developed the logistics management consultancy, Henderson Consultants. This company was sold to an international public company in 1996. Since then, Terry has tended to focus on his racing and breeding interests, centred around OTI.
Shayne is the General Manager of OTI, and is responsible for the day-to-day running of business.
With a Bachelor of Business (Human Resource Management) behind him, Shayne commenced with OTI in 2004 as an Office Manager. He has spent his time since learning from Terry Henderson and Simon O’Donnell. Shayne has been involved in all facets of OTI’s business including racehorse management, communication with owners, accounts payable and receivable, financial statements, horse selection/purchase and marketing.
Gus has been involved with OTI since 2018 and is our NSW Manager, a position that enables us to widen the range of services to existing and potential clients. His position is recognition of the value we place on relationship with clients and trainers alike. Gus continues to oversee the communication streams of all horses within the OTI system, the primary conduit between trainer and owner.
Gus is currently studying a Bachelor of Business at Deakin University and joined OTI with plenty of business acumen. Having grown up on a farm in rural Victoria, his family's passion for the industry ignited his keen interest and involvement in racing.
Gus brings both hands-on equine knowledge, in conjunction with his growing knowledge of business operations to the OTI team.
Ray has been OTI’s bookkeeper since early 2015.
With an Advanced Diploma of Business (Accounting), Ray spent 13 years working as a bookkeeper for a NASDAQ listed IT/Software company. Before that, he had a role with the National Australia Bank.
Ray has long had an interest in horse racing and is a VRC Member. He ensures OTI’s clients always get professional and accurate accounting services.
Lisa is OTI’s Media Coordinator.
Lisa has a Diploma in Equine Business Management and graduated from Marcus Oldham College in 2020.
German-bred and with horses always being part of her life, she discovered her passion for thoroughbreds after she moved to Australia and has been involved in the industry ever since. Initially working hands-on in stables and breeding barns, her varied skillset has led her towards an administrative and management future.
Her tasks as Media Coordinator will be vast and will include Social Media Management, Marketing, Client Liaison and Sales Assistance.
Xavier is OTI’s newest member of the team, assisting in a Sales & Client Liaison role.
Xavier has completed a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Management at Deakin University. He is also a certified Racing Manager, having worked in that role at Alex Rae Racing, playing a major part in the early growth of the operation.
Prior to joining the racing industry, Xavier worked in Supply Chain Management at Proctor and Gamble, and now brings a diverse range of skills to OTI.
Xavier is on hand to assist our clients, both new and old, to ensure they’re provided with a smooth and enjoyable ownership journey.
Campbell is currently studying a double degree in a Bachelor of Commerce and Finance at Monash University.
Campbell’s strong interest in racing stemmed through his time at high school, seeing him complete work experience placements with OTI. He now combines his double degree with a permanent part-time role at OTI.
Campbell is OTI’s Equine Welfare Coordinator. Having assisted in establishing our Equine Welfare Program at the end of 2019, he is now responsible for managing and tracking the progress of our past thoroughbreds.
Campbell also manages our Insurance Portfolio and assists when required in both the communication and bookkeeping areas of the business.
