My Swashbuckler Ready For Australian Debut

My Swashbuckler will race on Australian shores for the first time at Randwick on Wednesday. The 5yo French entire has accepted to run in a BM74 over 1550m (Race 7 – 4:20pm).

Group 2 placed as a 3yo in France, My Swashbuckler suffered a minor suspensory injury in his 4yo season whilst laying the foundation for a 2019 Spring Carnival campaign.

After being brought out to Australia, he has successfully completed an induction/acclimatisation program with Matt Williams in Warrnambool.

My Swashbuckler then joined his new trainer Kris Lees in early March. Kris has been delighted with the progress of this imposing stallion in his preparation for his first up run.

The son of Pour Moi arrives into Wednesday’s race on the back of two encouraging trials, winning his most recent over 1200m at Gosford on May 5.

No doubt My Swashbuckler will be improved by his first up run and as he progresses in distance, however it will not be surprising to see him feature competitively on Wednesday.

Best of luck to all of our partners!
