‘Erratic’ maiden winner set to resume

After an unusual, but very impressive debut win, Cloudland will return to the races at Scone on Friday.

The four-year-old gelding by Swiss Ace had very different ideas on how to win his first race, skewing left across the field in an erratic fashion but still managing to hit the line in first place.

Jockey Aaron Bullock did a great job steering Cloudland safely through the race, without interfering with other riders or horses, while staying on the horse himself. This was truly great horsemanship, and all connected were rewarded with a win.

After a break, Cloudland is ready to return to the races having had two trials in preparation for the run.

“He’s come on nicely, he galloped in company this morning with a horse that won a few races, I think he probably worked better and his manners are pretty good”, says trainer Kris Lees.

Best of luck to all connections!
