Chimed on his way to Australia

Recently acquired Chimed, a 3yo son of Frankel, has now entered quarantine in the UK to start his way down to Australia where he will join Anthony and Sam Freedman at their Pinecliff stable.

The flashy gelding made an impression on OTI at the ‘Horses in Training’ sale in the UK in October and was subsequently secured. The Freedman father and son duo were quick to join in partnership and gain the rights to train.

Standing just over 16 hands, Chimed is a striking-looking chestnut with 4 white socks. He is strong through the chest, possesses a deep girth and has a typical frame of a 2000m plus horse. He walks and gallops athletically with a smooth fluent action. His temperament has been excellent.

Still a maiden, Chimed has had 6 runs for 3 seconds and a third and with a long break, broken up by his trip to Australia, he will get every chance to show his ability over here.

Once arrived in Australia he will continue to acclimatize with a view to seeing him on the track anytime from March 2023 onwards.

While his sire, Frankel, is well known all around the world with his success, his dam Timepiece is also a Group 1 winner and from one of the strongest families in Europe. With multiple Group 1 winners in his pedigree, Chimed looks to be a very exciting racing proposition in Australia.

We look forward to hopefully share many exciting racing memories with Chimed in the future!
