Three New Purchases Join OTI from the Arc Sale

It was a busy weekend for the team at the Arqana Arc Sale in Paris, with three exciting prospects secured to continue their careers in the OTI colours.

Focus

An impressive 3yo colt by leading sire Siyouni, Focus was bred by the highly respected Wertheimer & Frère camp and arrives with an exciting profile.

Previously prepared in France by André Fabre, he is already a Listed winner and has shown great versatility, providing a strong foundation for future progress.

Focus will now join the stable of leading trainer Ciaron Maher. With his quality profile and plenty of upside, we look forward to seeing what he can achieve in Australia.

Waladares

Waladares is a lightly raced 3yo son of Gleneagles from a successful German family.

Previously trained in Germany by Sarah Steinberg, the colt is already a winner and Group placed from limited opportunities and his form suggests there is plenty more to come.

He will now join Joseph O’Brien in Ireland, where we look forward to seeing him embark on international campaigns in future.

Delgardo

Our third purchase, and the second German-bred horse of the trio, is Delgardo, a 4yo gelding by Best Solution.

A talented stayer, Delgardo is a three-time winner at distances up to 2400m and has also produced multiple Group-placed performances.

His dam, Delegation, has produced two other black-type performers, including Group 1 German Derby winner Dardanos.

Delgardo will now make his way to Australia to join Gavin Bedggood, who deserves a chance with a fresh, progressive European import having shown a great ability to invigorate stayers in the past.
