In the excitement of Quick Thinker’s Derby win, we missed the opportunity of also celebrating the 100th stakes winner for OTI. Indeed with Inverloch’s win in the G3 Easter Cup last Saturday, we’re now up to 101!
OTI’s success would not be possible without the loyal support of its fellow owners. Many have raced with the company since the business was formed by Terry Henderson and Simon O’Donnell in 1999. Today, our racing partners, many of whom have enjoyed wins at the top level, remain OTI’s greatest asset.
As with its part owners, OTI is indebted to the trainers, vets, agents and service providers that have assisted the business to reach this milestone. The fact that it has taken only 4 years to reach the second 50 stakes wins is a credit to their efforts.
For the record OTI has now had:
– 11 Group 1 wins
– 12 Group 2 wins
– 28 Group 3 wins
– 50 Listed wins
With the ‘ammunition’ both racing and en train in the next 6 months, OTI owners can look forward to continued success at the highest level. During the challenging times, our team will also strive to ensure that the racing ownership experience is enhanced even though we cannot go to the track.
It’s fitting that as OTI reaches this important milestone, Milestone himself, a classically bred 4yo colt from Andre Fabre’s stable in France is about to start his first preparation in Australia. We hope he has the ability to add to the stakes winners!
