Three weeks ago, OTI Racing experienced the thrill of having not only one but two performers in the Group 2 Adelaide Cup. Daqiansweet Junior (1st) and Future Score (3rd) are set to meet again amongst an exciting Sydney Cup field this Saturday.
Daqiansweet Junior took home the Adelaide Cup with Jamie Kah aboard after blitzing his rivals by a 1.5L margin. This week, top jockey Kerrin McEvoy takes the ride in the Sydney Cup, set to be run at Randwick over 3200m. Drawing barrier 7, we hope that he will show his best and prove competitive in a higher class of field.
OTI’s outside hope Future Score looks ready to peak after storming home to finish 3rd in the Adelaide Cup. This week he jumps from barrier 16 with Teo Nugent aboard. He is a very fit horse who has handled a heavy track in the past, with the right run we think he could prove quite competitive.
We are looking forward to this week’s Sydney Cup and hope that it will prove a thrilling contest for both runners.
