One to Watch at Leopardstown

Purchased last year, our 2yo Zoffany filly out of First Love, now named Mo Ghille Mar, will step out at the races for the first time in the early hours on Friday. She has accepted for a 1431m 2yo Maiden at Leopardstown, where she has drawn barrier 3 in a field of 18 and will be ridden by Shane Foley.

The filly is a strong 2yo with presence, who walks and works with purpose. She is from the family of Pyledriver, considered one of the world’s best older horses and a recent Group 2 winner at Royal Ascot.

The race on Friday has come on a little earlier than expected, but trainer Jessie Harrington says the filly has come along really well over the past couple of months particularly. “She has done everything right and I would expect her to run a competitive race. She’s a smart filly!”

Jumping from barrier 3 on a soft track will give her good chance to get into the race and secure a forward spot. See the full field and all race details here.

A forward effort will lay a great foundation for important stakes races planned in future.

She’s certainly one to keep an eye on!
