OTI is thrilled to introduce a standout of the New Zealand Bloodstock Karaka Sale. By emerging first season sire Vadamos, she will look to continue OTI’s proven track record of success with New Zealand bred fillies. She follows in the footsteps of previous purchases Aloisia, So Far Sokool and Hasstobegood.
The filly further ties in premier bloodlines through her dam, Penthouse Princess. As a daughter of the late legendary sire, Pentire, Penthouse Princess is a full sister to Melbourne Cup winner, Prince of Penzance.
Trainer Roger James has been nothing short of impressed with the filly’s relaxed temperament and the natural physical development she has continued to make in her early education phase. With the breaking in process to commence towards the end of March, anticipation levels among the stable have increased as the team looks to welcome her into the training fold.
Roger was hand-selected to train after decades spent building a reputation as a master-preparer of fillies. An 18 time Group 1 winning trainer, he is renown for his achievements with Silent Achiever. Roger currently trains Hasstobegood for OTI, who ran a brave 3rd in the Karaka Million 3YO Classic behind subsequent G1 winner, Probabeel.
Initial ambitions will be for our filly to target middle-distance and staying features in Australia in the spring of 2021.
A 5% share is priced at $15,250, making her an attractive proposition for a filly of such quality.
