Miss Subtly ready for return

After an almost perfect first preparation, Miss Subtly, a 3yo filly by Rich Enuff returns to the races tomorrow at Bendigo for trainer Grahame Begg and connections.

Bringing back memories of Tom Melbourne, who was well known for running second, Miss Subtly finished second in all of her four career starts to date. Already proving she has plenty of talent, we’re hoping she can go one better this time around.

Kicking off her career at Sale in July last year, Miss Subtly finished second by only 0.1 lengths, which was also the losing margin for her following two starts, one of them being in the $150k Ladbrokes Plate at The Valley in August 2022. She’s been most unlucky to run into multiple stakes-class 3yo’s!

The 3yo has had two winning trials at her home track at Cranbourne and has pleased trainer Grahame Begg throughout her work this preparation.

“I’m very happy with her and the way she has come up. Her trials have been super and she is ready to head to Bendigo on Tuesday. I think the race is tailored for her, out of the chute you would expect her to go very, very well.”

Miss Subtly will start in a field of 11 from barrier 3 after scratchings, with Jordan Childs booked to ride, who accompanied her in her last two starts as well. See the full field and all race details here.

Should she be able to break her maiden on Tuesday, there are a plethora of black-type options on the horizon.

Best of luck to all connections tomorrow, our fingers are crossed!
