A snapshot of our mid week runners

To start our week of runners, we have Romancer running at Ellerslie in NZ this afternoon for Donna Logan over 1500m. The additional 100m trip for Romancer should suit the Redwood gelding well who is nearing his peak fitness. We are expecting a good run and for him to be in the money.

On Thursday we have two runners at Geelong, the first being Star D’Vega over 2400m in a Benchmark 64. Her previous outing was over 2000m and this determined filly was strong to the line, Archie is positive about her lasting the trip. If the race allows for a steady rhythm she should run a good race.

Fastnet Cyclone is our second runner and will be making the trip over 1750m in a Benchmark 64. This former French-trained gelding has been drawn the outside barrier with Brad Rawiller onboard. Simon Morrish believes that a step up to 1700m on the open track and will suit the horse and despite drawing the outside barrier, he is set to run a good race.

Best of luck to all connections!
