Living Legends – Champions, Scones and more!

On September 18, the OTI team and owners headed out to Living Legends to view some of our past champions in their life after racing. With hot coffee, famous Living Legends scones and no rain the day started off well.

Tom Melbourne joined us for our welcome by manager Andrew Clarke and showed off his dressage skills on the grass in front of the Homestead. Following lots of cuddles and pats for Tom, everyone headed for a tour of the farm, including plenty of carrots and pats for champions like Beauty Generation, Apache Cat and Pakistan Star. Of course a group photo with Tom Melbourne himself was a must!

Owners were then led to the Homestead, where Gailo Chop, or “Chopper” as they call him now, was waiting for us. A little bit unsure about the big group of people, owner Alan Goodfellow was able to get close up and greet his old friend and OTI CEO Terry Henderson shared a loving moment with both Tom and Chopper.

Everyone had a great time getting to know past champions and each other.

Of course, we thank Andrew Clarke and the whole team, who put in so much effort to make this a successful day!
