Full Of Sincerity could step out in G2

After a most impressive 3rd place in the Group 1 New Zealand Derby, Full of Sincerity has made his way to Australia to potentially compete in this Saturday’s Group 2 Tulloch Stakes. The Group 2 at Rosehill would be a final tune-up for the G1 Australian Derby on April 1, which he is expected to back up in all being well.

Full Of Sincerity’s run in the NZ Derby was a brave one, against most talented horse Sharp ‘N’ Smart, who he will again meet in the Australian Derby. Another OTI horse Mark Twain also battled on strongly and hit the line late. He will also compete in the Australian Derby in April.

“He pulled up really well after the race, he’s a bit light, but he’s probably never going to be a heavy horse this preparation. I think the best plan now is going to the G2 Tulloch and see what the field and weather will be like and then straight to the Derby. His work after his run in the NZ Derby has been very sharp and I’m very pleased with him.”

Full Of Sincerity arrived safe in Sydney on Tuesday and has settled in well so far. A final decision for Saturday’s race will be made on Thursday after he had a gallop.

Best of luck to all connections for Saturday!
