Cadazio and Struck Twice ready for race debut

Cadazio and Struck Twice both had their second trial of the preparation this morning at Cranbourne over 1000m, and are now ready to proceed to the races for the Mick Price & Michael Kent Jnr combination.

Cadazio (left) and Struck Twice (right) prior to their trial at Cranbourne.

Cadazio (in white) was slow to begin, but was able to finish off strongly and win the trial in relatively comfortable fashion over his two fellow contestants. It was an impressive piece of work, with the stable now looking to send him to a 1400m race in the near future where he’s expected to be very competitive.

Struck Twice (in yellow), the full-brother to I’m Thunderstruck, jumped well but was challenged late by stablemate Cadazio, who is a more forward type at this stage of their careers. The gelding is progressing nicely, however he still has some developing and maturing to do. The Price/Kent stable plans to debut him in a 1400m race in the coming weeks, with the Victorian Derby still in mind for the spring.

We look forward to their race debuts.
