Belthil remains undefeated in Australia

It was fantastic to see Belthil make it back-to-back victories with a determined effort at Stawell on Friday, on a day where it proved challenging to make up ground.

He made jockey Harry Coffey work hard pre-race, proving that he still has a bit learn from an education perspective despite his two victories.

“He’s a horse that wants a mile, from that a wide gate you always get a little bit nervous,” said Bobbin.

“I actually scratched him from Terang a few of days ago because of a wide draw and, what do you know, we drew a wide one again today.

“Fortunately, they ran along a bit and Harry Coffey got a good spot there, found the outside, found him charging at the line and he’s going to get better as we get further.

“I think he’s a nice horse and a big thank you has to go to OTI, I’ve just been going for two years and I feel very privileged for an organisation of their size to send me a horse they bought abroad and to trust me with his care because he’s a horse on the way up.”
