Barrier Draw Announced for the G1 Sydney Cup

A field of 20 plus an emergency has been declared and the barriers assigned for Saturday’s $2 million Group 1 Sydney Cup (3200m) at Royal Randwick this Saturday.

The topweight in the Sydney Cup is the Lloyd Williams-trained galloper The Taj Mahal while last year’s winning trainer Chris Waller has three runners – Metropolitan winner Patrick Erin, Brimham Rocks and Shraaoh.

OTI’s Gallic Chieftain has drawn favourably in barrier 7 and first emergency runner Fairlight has drawn barrier 11.
