A Knight in shining armour

Introducing our ‘Knight in shining armour’, the most recent addition to our stable. With his impeccable looks and presence, this 3yo colt by Camelot out of the Group 3 winning mare Sevenna is named Sevenna’s Knight and it certainly suits him. He is in the care of André Fabre in Chantilly, France.

The colt is an impeccably bred, serious young staying colt with real presence when parading. Given plenty of time to develop, he has only raced five times. His last three starts include two seconds and an impressive six length victory.

Sevenna’s Knight wins impressively at Compiegne in June, 2023.

His short-term goal this season is the 3000m Group 2 Prix Chaudenay for 3yo’s at the Arc meeting on September 30. Last year’s second placegetter in the race, Sober, was also by Camelot and trained by André.

Depending on his performance at the Arc meeting in September, the colt could have plenty of exciting international opportunities including the US$2.5m 3000m Red Sea Cup in Riyadh in February. In the longer term, it is yet to be decided if he remains in Europe or heads to Australia.

André Fabre has trained many stakes winners for us in the past, including Montclair, Au Revoir, Timour and Grey Lion and we have high hopes that Sevenna’s Knight will join them.

We look forward to seeing this colt unfold his full potential on the track.
