Our Smart Missile colt has officially completed his educational preparation, marking the final chapter in our Yearling to Racehorse series. After weeks of routine work under saddle on various tracks, his last challenge was a crucial one—his first jump from the starting barriers.
Having previously walked through the beginner wooden barriers, he was introduced to the official race barriers, where he stood calmly and responded well to his handlers. After a few practice walkthroughs, he confidently handled having both the front and hind gates closed before making his first jump out—a significant milestone in his journey.
With his foundation now set, the colt is enjoying a well-earned break before returning for a refresher in the coming weeks.
