A brief look back at our recent runners.

Patchewollock (7th) ran well but didn’t handle the heavy conditions at Saint-Cloud (FR) on Tuesday.

Fastnet Vaganova (7th) was a little disappointing at Chantilly (FR) over 2800m on Wednesday.

Le Juge (3rd) performed well  in a Listed 2100m event at Le Croise-Laroche (FR) on Friday.

Fastnet Cyclone (2nd) ran a very good race over 1800m at Le Croise-Laroche (FR) on Friday. John Hammond sees this horse as one that will improve significantly next year, particularly once he gets over 2400m.

Azurite (2nd) put in another good effort at Moonee Valley on Friday night.

Fastnet Lightning (4th) was unlucky in a 2100m race at Toulouse (FR) on Saturday.

Lord Van Percy (7th) ran well in the Group 3 Eclipse Stakes at Sandown on Saturday. We are hopeful this Weir trained gelding will continue to improve as he gains fitness during his first preparation back.

Lidari (3rd) ran another good race in the Group 3 1800m Eclipse Stakes on Saturday and should be very competitive once he gets over further.

Coming up this week….

Manangatang is entered in a 1700m maiden at Lingfield Park (UK) on Tuesday.

Gallic Chieftain will have his second start since arriving in Australia this week. The French import will start in a BM78 handicap over 1800m at Sandown on Wednesday.

Fastnet Squall has been nominated for a 2400m race at Lyon (FR) on Thursday. Following his win in late October, we are hopeful of another strong effort.

Plymouth Road has been nominated for a BM70 Hcp over 2040m at Moonee Valley on Friday.

Stone Warrior is planned to race in a 1450m maiden event at Kyneton also on Friday.

Mobaco is planned to run over 1600m in the Lennox Head Cup at Bellina on Saturday.

OTI may have 5 runners at Ballarat on Saturday.

Renew has been nominated for a BM84 Hcp over 1400m. This will be the gelding’s first start for his new trainer Darren Weir.

Lidari, Lord Van Percy, Scherzoso and Master Zephyr have been entered in the Listed Ballarat Cup over 2200m. With 4 competitive runners, we are hopeful of a Cup win this weekend.
