OTI owners involved in talented 3yo staying filly Twisted Love are hoping she gains a start in the 2000m Group 2 The Roses at Doomben on Saturday as she continues a preparation towards the Group 1 Queensland Oaks.
A classic Oaks lead up, it’s little wonder a full field has been engaged on Saturday, where Twisted Love finds herself as 3rd emergency. In horrific conditions, the filly ran a lovely race to finish 5th in the Listed Gold Coast Bracelet last start, continuing to close off well with Ethan Brown’s feedback suggesting she’ll thrive with a step out in trip.
5th in the Listed Gold Coast Bracelet
Purchased off a strong debut victory, Twisted Love has always given the impression of a filly who would get to 2000m and beyond. Now settled into the new routine with Ciaron Maher and his team, she’s expected to take a step forward with each start and Saturday will present as an important stepping stone for her experience wise. Unfortunately, she’s also not been dealt any favours with the draw, presented with gate 19.
