Sydney Win for Plymouth Road – will he back-up on Saturday?

Plymouth Road was transferred to James Cummings stables in Sydney at the end of 2016 from Lee and Anthony Freedman’s stable due to the state of the hard tracks in Victoria.  He much prefers some give in the track and after some welcomed rain in Sydney overnight, he had a good win at Warwick Farm today over 2400m. He led from go to whoa and was strong on the line. If he pulls up well from today’s race, James Cummings could back him up in a BM84 over 2400m on Saturday at Randwick. This will be a step-up in class and a big ask but with more rain forecast for Sydney and a low weight of 54.5kg, he could prove competitive.

After some disappointing performances, we are thrilled to see him back to his good form and we are very pleased for his patient owners.
