Stone Warrior to ring the bells in Adelaide.

Having tasted success recently with Renew in the “City of Churches”, OTI and its partners are back again this Saturday with Stone Warrior, hoping lightning will strike twice inside a month.

Trained by Lee Freedman, Stone Warrior has been a victim of unfavorable inside draws of late.  Most recently at Pakenham, he got back to near last and was forced to make his run hard up against the rail, which wasn’t the place to be on the night and his effort to finish third was excellent.  At Sandown two starts back, he found himself in all sorts of trouble when trying to make a run in the straight and, with even luck, probably would have won.

This talented 4YO son of Shamoline Warrior is in top order ahead of his trip to Morphettville on Saturday where Daniel Moor will pilot the gelding from the slightly more favorable barrier five.  The aim will be to get the gelding clean air at the top of the straight allowing an uninterrupted passage for him to work through his gears in the drive to the line.

Having placed at his last four outings after a dominant Bendigo maiden win, Stone Warrior is bursting for another victory and Saturday’s race looks an ideal opportunity for him to get back into the winner’s stall.  Once the dam walls burst, this gelding has the talent to work his way through the grades and we’d hope to see him back in Saturday Melbourne Metropolitan racing before too long.

Best of luck to all our partners.
