Prinz Hlodowig set for Clairefontaine tonight

After a near two and a half month absence from the races, we are pleased to see Prinz Hlodowig back on the racetrack tonight at Clairefontaine. The highly rated galloper is set to return tonight in a 2400m race at 11:55 pm (AEST). Click here to view the field.

The Group 3 placed colt will be racing in a much lower rated race, where he is the highest rated horse in a seven horse field. This will be the first time he will have run over the 2400m, although trainer Mikel Delzangles believes he will appreciate the extra distance. Since having a minor setback following his last start, Mikel has been extremely pleased with how well he has come back, and this race should suit him.

“The Fresh Prince” as we like to refer to him as, will be jumping from barrier 7 and will be carrying 3 kilograms more than any of his rivals with 59kg’s. Young gun jockey and multiple Group 1 winner Vincent Cheminaud, is set to take the ride.

In what is a crucial race for the colt, we are expecting a bold showing from him, as we are aiming him for black type Three-Year-Old races this campaign.

Good luck to all connections involved and hopefully we see the best of Prinz Hlodowig tonight.
