Plymouth Road to contest the Jericho Cup for OTI

At Tuesday’s final acceptances, there were 18 horses declared – four of them emergencies – for the second running of the race designed to honour the serviceman and their horses that ran in the original Jericho Cup more than 100 years ago when the allies were planning a desert offensive against the Turkish during World War I.

Giving the race a true ANZAC flavour this year, there are two New Zealand-trained runners, Aigne and Where Are You, with another four of the runners bred in New Zealand, including that of Plymouth Road.
