As we celebrate 25 years of OTI this year, we have acheived many significant milestones in that time. As we near 1,000 overall winners since establishment in 1999, our 400th individual winner was recorded on Sunday at Warrnambool with Kimmorley.
Included in those memorable moments are over 130 wins at Group and Listed level and over 400 stakes performances. Our 14 Group 1 wins include Cups, Derbies and Guineas’. We have won stakes class races in eight different countries.
In the 2023/24 season to date, we have already celebrated 53 wins. This includes eight at black-type level as well as Cepheus’ win in the $1.5m Alan Brown Stakes. The list of black-type wins is:
- Sevenna’s Knight – Listed Prix Michel Houyvet at Deauville (France)
- Athabascan – Lexus CTC Cup at Randwick
- Athabascan – Group 3 Colin Stephen Quality at Rosehill
- Cepheus – Group 2 Shannon Stakes at Rosehill
- Amade – Group 3 Geelong Cup at Geelong
- Warmonger – Listed TAB Trophy at Flemington
- Baby Rider – Listed ATC Cup at Randwick
- Lady Laguna – Listed Nudgee Stakes at Doomben
We have one eye now on the many exciting horses set to contest the various autumn carnivals in Australia and New Zealand. Racing in Europe will soon heat up also.
