Inverloch is enjoying a career best preparation for trainers Trent Busuttin & Natalie Young. On Saturday at Caulfield, he returns to the scene of his G3 Easter Cup victory.
The 6-year-old has demonstrated a particular liking for the 2000m at Caulfield, winning two races and running 2nd on two other occasions from four starts over the course and distance this campaign.
His trainers are confident the horse is set to run well in the final event of the day (Race 9 – 4:38pm). He will also appreciate the weight relief for Thomas Stockdale (57.5kg) after carrying 62kg in the Warrnambool Cup last start.
At Doomben, 7-year-old Le Juge tackles the G3 Chairman’s Handicap (Race 7 – 2:55pm). After four consecutive runs at 2200m with the top weight, he will carry just 54kg on Saturday.
From a favourable draw, trainer Chris Waller expects the horse to run well up in class. Le Juge worked strongly during the week as he continues to race consistently throughout his preparation.
Best of luck to all of our partners this weekend!
