Spring is in the air and as the weather begins to heat up, so does racing! This weekend see’s some of our exciting horses have the first race of their spring campaigns.

Saturday 4th of September

Randwick

Current Track Rating: Soft

Attorney

This race is designed to improve Attorney’s fitness in preparation for more suitable distances. The plan is to settle him midfield and allow him to run to the line strongly.

Selino

This is Selino‘s first race back from his Sydney Cup victory. Like Attorney, he will be settle back and be allowed to finish off well.

Cepheus

We were delighted with Cepheus’s first up run in Australia. With luck in running, he should be able to balance up and finish off strongly. While still short of his ideal distance, he’s expected to be in the finish.

Moonee Valley

Current Track Rating: Good

Barade

Archie Alexander has been delighted with Barade since the horse’s excellent first up run. With luck in running, he should be right in the finish.

La Teste de Buch (FR)

Rivaport

Following her strong second two weeks ago, Rivaport looks very well-placed to break her maiden status in this race. She will be hard to beat.

Sunday 5th of September

Casterton

Track Rating: Soft

Pankhurst

Plagued with shin soreness since her arrival in Australia, Pankhurst is an exciting mare. She’ll take benefit from the first up run, however she is expected to be competitive from the good gate.

Seawhatyouthink

Recovering from a tendon injury, Seawhatyouthink will take a lot of benefit from this race. He’s a talented horse for future staying events.
