A relatively quiet weekend before the more serious racing commences in September. Kembla Grange will be our key focus as some budding stayers look to display their credentials for the spring ahead.

Kembla Grange

Hasstobegood

While Hasstobegood likes the sting out of the ground, she will not start if the track is heavy. If she runs, she’ll be hard to beat.

Montabot

Montabot loves soft ground and will welcome the heavy surface, should it arrive. In such conditions he’s expected to be very competitive.

Inverloch

This grand warrior thrives on a soft track. He has worked well and his trainer believes he’ll be in the finish.

Quick Thinker

After two below par runs on firmer tracks, Quick Thicker get his ideal conditions. His caretaker trainer, Bjorn Baker, says that the entire is in great condition.

Young Rascal

After a good first up run for his new stable, Young Rascal is fitter and ready to be competitive. The wide draw may hurt his chances, but an improved showing is expected.

Warracknabeal

Artarmon

Returning from injury, Artarmon is likely to need a run or two to become competitive.

Darvin

After excelling in his last preparation, the stable is looking forward to Darvin progressing to open staying class this prep. Despite being his first up run, he’s expected to be competitive.
