OTI on the look out at Arqana

The Arqana (French) Sale has long proved successful in producing quality horse flesh to race across the world.

The February Mixed Sale takes place this week in Deauville and OTI will have our eyes open for potential opportunities to acquire highly desirable European types.

Our most recent Arqana purchase was Darvin, a 3yo colt by Le Havre, the same sire as the highly progressive Harbour Views. Darvin has recently arrived into the care of Matthew Williams at Warrnambool. Matthew currently trains Harbour Views, a winner of his first five career starts before the unluckiest of defeats in the $500,000 Melbourne Cup Carnival Country Final on Oaks Day.

Le Havre progeny are renowned for not reaching their peak until their four and five-year-old seasons. Already a winner at three, we see a great deal of upside still to come in Darvin once he fully matures. A well-balanced colt that covers the ground nicely, he is strikingly similar in appearance to Harbour Views. His trainer was quick to secure 50% for his own clients and was most pleased with his condition after he recently arrived in to his Warrnambool stable.

Harbour Views has taken OTI and our partners on a fantastic ride in his short career to date and we are hopeful this colt may be able to do similar. If you were interested in finding out more about what the future holds for Darvin please feel free to get in touch.
