More Country Cups available this weekend

This weekend could turn out to be a very exciting one for OTI connections with contenders in both the Pakenham Cup on Saturday and the Werribee Cup on Sunday.

Future Score is expected to take his place in the Listed Pakenham Cup on Saturday in a field of 11, jumping from barrier 1 and ridden by Fred Kersley. The 2020 Cranbourne Cup winner has already proven that he can be very competitive over the distance and hopefully he can add another country cup to his career honour roll.

The Archie Alexander trained Vardani appreciates a return to firmer footing on Sunday at Werribee when contesting their Cup. With Declan Bates on board he will jump from barrier 12 in a field of 14. Vardani too is proven over the distance, having brought home the Stony Creek Cup earlier this year for connections.

After working through the distances the grey gelding will start in the Werribee Cup fourth up with plenty of fitness on his side. The 6yo son of Charm Spirit is expected to get his chance to bounce back to form.

With both horses already proving that they are more than capable of winning Country Cups, we hope to see them repeating the dose this weekend.

Best of luck to all connections!
