Latina’s streak extended in Adelaide

Archie Alexander has slowly raised the bar with 4YO entire, Fastnet Latina. After three successive wins since arriving in Australia, the son of Fastnet Rock faced his toughest test in Adelaide on Saturday.

After winning over a mile at Moonee Valley, Alexander felt it best to keep him at the trip and handpicked the Morphetville race as a suitable target. Regular rider, Jordan Childs, made the trip to Adelaide and the camp were confident of a good showing.

Jumping from gate four, Childs was able to settle Fastnet Latina in a prominent spot from the outset. He travelled strongly into the home bend and quickly took control of the race, drawing away for a dominant three-length victory.

The most exciting aspect of the win was the continual improvement Fastnet Latina is making. He stepped up in grade, yet won with consummate ease. Now unbeaten in four Australian starts, the future looks bright and we look forward to seeing where Alexander takes him next.
