After an exciting win for his new connections in the Listed Prix Michel Houyvet at Deauville earlier in August, Sevenna’s Knight returns to the track on Thursday night at Longchamp (FR) in the Group 3 Prix Gerald de Geoffre over 3000m.
Sevenna’s Knight ran a terrific race in Deauville last time out, letting down strongly down the outside to win by 2 lengths.
The 3yo colt by Camelot has now won his last two starts convincingly and has connections excited for the next few months, which potentially includes the Group 2 Qatar Prix Chaudenay on the famous Arc weekend.
His trainer Andre Fabre commented after his most recent win “He pulled up well and we head towards the Group 3 next, it’s the ideal race in preparation for the Group 2 on Arc weekend at the end of September. I think he has a lot more improvement to come and will be better again as a 4yo.”
With the confidence Andre has in the horse’s ability, we are excited to watch him step out again and see what the future holds for him. Further European or international Group races could certainly be on the horizon for Sevenna’s Knight.
