Kelce Ready to Open French Flat Season for OTI

With the European flat season about to start, it is very exciting to have Kelce make his first race appearance at Chantilly early tomorrow morning Australian time.

Purchased at last year’s Arqana Breeze Up Sale in Deauville, the three-year-old colt is by top German stallion Adlerflug. His dam, River On The Hillis, by Sinndar, comes from a family that boasts numerous quality stayers.

Kelce is trained in Chantilly by Francis-Henri Graffard, these days best known as the late Aga Khan’s trainer. OTI was joined in the purchase by both Francis and Gerard Augustin-Norman, one of France’s major owner breeders. The purchase last May followed an impressive breeze up by the horse having regard to his pedigree as a 2000m+ type.

The colt has impressed during his lead up to tonight’s race and there is good confidence he will lay a strong foundation for his career. OTI’s owners in the horse based in France, Belgium, the UK and Australia will be hoping that he can do that and more!
