Irish runners looking to justify claims for Ascot

OTI Racing has two important runners over the weekend in Ireland, who will be looking to justify their claims for a berth at Royal Ascot.

Knightlaila and Vina Sena will both compete in the 3yo Handicap at Navan, Ireland over 2000m. Both horses have shown good ability in the past and have been building towards a winning performance.

Knightlaila winning at Gowran Park in April, 2022.

The race is a stepping stone for many horses to move on to Royal Ascot and compete in Group level races. Well known previous winners of the race are include OTI’s Downdraft, Nickajack Cave and Delphi, who all moved on to be successful in top class stakes races.

Knightlaila, who hasn’t been out of the top four in all of his starts to date, is expected to relish the step up to 2000m.

Vina Sena, a colt by Vadamos, has been a work in progress this season but if he can execute his race plan early (relax), we know he can finish off strongly.

Best of luck to all connections!
