Impressive metro win by NZ-bred filly Krementz

OTI’s success with ‘Ready To Run’ horses from NZ is no secret. Vin De Dance, who won the G1 NZ Derby, was purchased from this sale in years gone by. Recent winner Interlinked looks set for a promising career on the back of his purchase at last year’s edition, purchased alongside yesterday’s exciting metro winner Krementz.

Yesterday’s win at Sandown was a maiden victory for 3yo filly Krementz, who is trained by Mick Price and Michael Kent Jnr.

“She’s a talented filly, who is on the improve all the time and her win at Sandown yesterday certainly showed that. She has a lovely big stride on her, was very comfortable in the front and was just far too strong in the end.”, says co-trainer Michael Kent Jnr.

The 3yo filly has pulled up well and will be aimed at a return to the races on New Year’s Day in a 3yo BM70 over 1400m at Flemington, which will be a nice progression for her.

Such is the opinion that Price and Kent have of Krementz, we were encouraged to assess her full-brother at November’s ‘Ready To Run’ sale in NZ. We were delighted to secure him in partnership with Price Kent Racing and he has already moved across to their care in Australia.

“He’s a lovely moving colt with probably even more scope than Krementz. He has a good temperament, nice frame and he breeze-up beautifully. He probably could have gone even quicker. I think he has quite a bit of improvement to come” commented Mick Price on the colt.
