High hopes for French import, Le Juge at Flemington

In a week highlighted by two new additions to the OTI stable, Azuro and the Echoes of Heaven filly, we now look towards the track, in what has been a rather quiet period for us, as preparations start to ramp up for the Autumn Carnival.

Yesterday we had Patchewollock running in a 1500m handicap in Cagnes-sur-Mer, which was a disappointing run considering the potential he has shown in his previous two starts.

This weekend we have Le Juge is stepping out in a 1800m race for the Chris Waller stable at Flemington. The Dansili gelding had a promising debut in Australia over 1600m at Caulfield a few weeks ago again with Damien Oliver on board and he has retained the ride this week. Chris Waller was impressed with how he finished off the race especially over the last 100m and is expecting the distance to suit the horse.

We also have Serenade the Stars in the Doriemus handicap over 2500m at Flemington which holds a special place for OTI Director, Terry Henderson. Following his impressive win on Boxing day, we are again expecting a good run. The Gelagotis stable believe this will be an ideal race for him and the spacious track should suit the Sea the Stars gelding.

Best of luck to all connections!
