Guido awaiting Jericho Cup

After a long trek to Sunday’s feature race, we will be glad to finally watch Guido go around in the Jericho Cup at Warrnambool this weekend.

With the Cup always the target of this preparation, Guido has been racing on-and-off since April with short freshen ups in between runs. Since his last proper spell he has recorded three wins, the latest at The Valley last Friday over 3800m, where he won by eight lengths.

“His last win at The Valley was very encouraging for us and hopefully he gets even better the further he goes. Ross O’Sullivan, who rode him in the race, will retain the ride on Guido, he did a good job.”, says trainer Mitch Freedman.

The Jericho Cup will be run over 4600m at the Warrnambool Racing Club in Race 8 and Guido has drawn the outside barrier. See the full field and all race details here.

With OTI again sponsoring the Jericho Cup Repecharge and Guido in the feature, there will certainly be a little more excitement on Sunday in the mounting yard.
