Greg Hall to Work with OTI over the Spring Carnival

Over the spring, Greg Hall will be assisting OTI with expert post-race commentary for key runners. He will provide a valuable insight for our owners and trainers on rides and individual horse’s racing characteristics. This will assist both the campaigning of horses through the spring and possible riding tactics. Our owners will see more of him in the mounting yard.

In an effort to assist young track riders with their riding technique, Greg will also be supporting a number of Ballarat stables.

Greg has had a long standing association with Terry Henderson, stemming back to 90s where he rode Doriemus in the Melbourne Cup of 1997 to one of the closest finishes in the history of the race.

Greg is credited with 49 Group 1 race victories and among his greatest triumphs are two Victoria Derbies, two prestigious Golder Slipper Stakes, a Cox Plate and the pinnacle of racing, the Melbourne Cup aboard the renowned Subzero in 1992.

Well known within the racing industry as a likeable larrikin, Greg has emerged from his lifetime lows over the last 18 months to regain control of his life.

With a number of exciting runners for OTI, we are looking forward to working with Greg in the coming months over the 2019 Spring Carnival.
