I was very sorry to leave Werribee on Monday. It was my home for the past month and, although everything did not go as we would have wished, the facilities there were excellent and I enjoyed the one-on-one treatment.
The trip to Hong Kong was smooth. The trip from door to door was less than 12 hours and I was soon stabled in the luxurious facilities at Sha Tin. For the last week, I’ve had an easy time, but the pace steps up next week when I am due to have a couple of gallops. I’ll also have some barrier practice. My boss is very keen that I overcome my habit of missing the start.
The big race is still 2 weeks away and I’m delighted that Mark Zahra has been booked to ride me in the 1600m race. It’s my favourite distance and I’m sure that, if I can get out of the gates well, I’ll be in the finish. Can’t wait!
