Docklands returns at Goodwood

Our Britannia Stakes winner Docklands returns to the races this Friday at Goodwood for the first time since his impressive performance at Royal Ascot in late June.

The 3yo colt pulled up well after his win at Ascot and returned to some light work a few days later. He had his first gallop back two weeks ago and another piece of fast work on the weekend in preparation for the race on Friday.

“He’s in good order, moves well and looks fantastic. The physio went over him and can’t fault him at all. Very happy with his last piece of fast work on the weekend and looking forward to the race on Friday.” says trainer Harry Eustace in one of his updates to owners.

Friday’s race looks to be a competitive field, however after his imposing win at Royal Ascot against 28 other horses, Docklands should go into it with a good chance. He will again be partnered with Hayley Turner for the race.

“We’re excited to see him step up to Group 3 level on Friday. He’s a talented horse and we might even see him in Australia later this year”, comments Terry Henderson.
