Docklands gets to build on his impressive resume when he tackles six opponents in the Group 1 Sussex Stakes at Glorious Goodwood on Wednesday.
While up-and-coming star, Field of Gold, dominates the betting, there is no shortage of top-class milers to test him. As was the case at Royal Ascot, again Docklands’ owners will hope he can upset the more fancied runners.

Tom Marquand will replace Mark Zahra (who has returned to Australia) for the run. Tom galloped the colt last week and was delighted with how he worked. Harry Eustace also believes Docklands is in a prime position going into the race.
While the unique Goodwood circuit is a far cry from the straight mile at Ascot, Docklands can look forward to returning to a straight track again when he travels to Deauville in mid-August for the 1600m Prix Jacques Le Marois. In the long term, his mission will be the Champions
Mile, which will be held again at Ascot in October.
