Crocodile Shoes headed to Sandown

Irish import, Crocodile Shoes, will make his fist Australian appearance over 1600M at Sandown on Wednesday (R2, 1.30pm).

The lightly-raced son of Galileo showed good staying ability in his brief Irish career. He won a Maiden over 2084M at Roscommon at his third start and both his breeding and racing style suggests that he will improve as the distances get longer.

The Freedman’s have been most impressed with Crocodile Shoes since he entered their Pinecliffe base on the Mornington Peninsula. The 4YO entire has thrived since stepping off the plane in Australia and his positive transformation that has continued in his new stable environment.

Heading into his Australian debut, Crocodile Shoes has had three jump-outs, with his most recent being at Flemington on May 1. He has had a solid grounding to head back to the races and with top hoop, Craig Williams, taking the ride he should be afforded every opportunity on Wednesday.

The mile of Wednesday’s race will ultimately be short of his best but it’s hoped he will be hitting the line with future targets in mind. OTI wishes its owners all the very best with Crocodile Shoes.
