3yo Turn Me Loose filly, Pick ‘N’ Mix, set for debut

An impressive trial win on the synthetic surface in Cambridge (New Zealand) back in June laid the foundation for the purchase of the 3yo Turn Me Loose filly, Pick ‘N’ Mix.

Now under the tutelage of Tony and Calvin McEvoy, the filly will head to Caulfield Heath on Wednesday for her first race start. Although she has performed very well in her trials, she’s got no favours at the barriers, having drawn the outside of the 10 horse field. Despite that, with Harry Coffey on top, she will run well over the 1200m journey.

Pick ‘N’ Mix wins her latest trial at Ballarat (OTI silks, orange cap).

The filly looks a most exciting type for her new owners. With a top run, she may even lay a foundation to return to New Zealand for a race like the $3.5m ‘NZB Kiwi’ in March.
