SMALL FRY (IRE) went closer still than on his return to hurdling kept to maiden company and can win one of these this summer, this better than a lot of races of its type at this stage of the year; in touch, chased leader entering straight, ran on.
Quite a few of these have been above average at some point or other on the Flat and, while most probably won’t reach the same level as hurdlers, the runner-up might do and it took a good bumper winner making his hurdling debut to beat him; the first 3 were clear at the line, but the one in seventh made nearly as big an impression despite his previous lack of form.
