Following Sword Of State’s explosive start at stud, we were thrilled to secure this filly at Karaka with genuine two-year-old appeal. What set this filly apart was her presence. She caught the eye with her fluid movement, walking with purpose and balance. A lovely shape and a sharp looking filly, she has all the qualities of a two-year-old type with her looks strongly mirroring her sire.

A son of Snitzel, Australia’s leading Champion sire, Sword Of State himself is already leading the Australian first-season sires table by winners and he’s only just getting started. From just three runners to date, all are winners, highlighted by Listed Debutante Stakes winner Torture and the unbeaten Warwoven, currently favourite for the Group 1 Golden Slipper.
Heading to the power house stable of Stephen Marsh, one of New Zealand’s top trainers and producers of elite performers including one of the top 3yo fillies in Australasia at the moment – Well Written.
