The Story

Steve Miswaki is an exciting two-year-old son of emerging sire St Mark’s Basilica, secured in Europe after standing out as the most intriguing young prospect at the sale.

The colt’s effortless stride, combined with his size, strength and athleticism immediately suggested he has the attributes to excel under Australian conditions.

This colt came with a strong recommendation from renowned horseman Philip Baratte, who described him as “a serious prospect for the future.” Whilst he’s by an exciting stallion, he is also out of the Group 3-winning and Group 1-performed mare who has produced a Listed winner, giving him a seriously appealing international pedigree.

Steve Miswaki will join the stable of leading NSW trainer Matthew Dunn upon his arrival in Australia in August, giving him every chance to feature in quality three-year-old events in the 26/27 season.
