2yo Filly – EL ROCA x SINGA SONGA – Trained by Mark Walker at Cranbourne 

Note – the filly is now named Silver Springs, a well-known Fleetwood Mac hit released in the 70’s.

The key features that showcase this athletic filly are:

• The filly is by El Roca (a sprinter son of Fastnet Rock) out of a family that includes G1 Queensland
  Cup winner Portland Singa.
• Already a half-sister to a Listed performer, she appears to possess a sharp turn of foot that will compliment her staying bloodlines. The 3yo filly Classics are certainly in our sights and El Roca has already proven an ability to sire horses with quality, including G1 Levin Classic winner Travelling Light. Pedigree provided on request.
• This filly showed herself on parade at Karaka to be a beautiful mover with a generous overstep. She had scope and length to her walk. Her breeze was strong, becoming more fluent the further she ran. Clocking a 10.74 second sectional for her 200m breeze is considered excellent for an Oaks-style filly.
• Mark Walker is delighted to be offered the opportunity to train the filly from his Cranbourne base. Mark, who owns Te Akau Racing in partnership, has an enviable training record.
• This filly is now safely in Australia and has started her first preparation for Mark and the team. We look forward to her race debut in the autumn of 2024 with much excitement.
