We’re excited to present this gorgeous two-year-old filly by Telperion out of Sierra Gold, which we secured in partnership with Ciaron Maher Racing at the 2023 Ready to Run Sale in New Zealand.
Some key reasons why this filly appeals are:
- She shows herself to be a strong, classy mover at the gallop and the walk. She breezed her 200m split in 10.63 secs, above average for these 2yos.
- She is a daughter of Telperion (by Street Cry) out of Sierra Gold (by Encosta de Lago). In Street Cry and Encosta de Lago, we utilise some of the world’s most successful bloodlines.
- Telperion is the sire of Belthil, a horse we rate highly within OTI who has already won 5 races. This filly is a half-sister to Red Sierra, an 8-time winner who was Listed-placed.
- Ciaron Maher Racing was involved in the purchase, securing 25% of the filly for their clients. The team has been pleased with her progression since she arrived in Australia, and she has now commenced a second preparation to move through towards a trial.
- Ciaron Maher Racing again dominates the Victorian Metro Trainer Premiership in 2023/24. Our filly is in excellent hands.
