STOP PRESS – August 23: Self Worth has returned to Matt Cumani’s stables for her second preparation in Ballarat:

We are delighted to have this stunning-looking daughter of Pariah, out of the black-type international mare, Sense of Pride, in the OTI stable.

She has strength and presence, with a smooth, athletic walk. Being physically and mentally advanced, she should be a precocious 2yo. Hence, she is nominated for the Golden Slipper and Blue Diamond Stakes.

Being well-bred, she also presents as an excellent long term broodmare investment. She is a daughter of Pariah, a son of Champion Stallion, Redoute’s Choice. Pariah was placed in the Group 1 Blue Diamond Stakes and was twice a winner at Group 3 level. He is quickly following in the footsteps of Not A Single Doubt, another son of Redoute’s Choice. The filly’s dam, Sense of Pride, was a quality race mare. Listed placed in Canada, she also performed well in Australia, including a 4th place at Listed level here. Sense of Pride has already produced Foxborough, who placed 3rd in the Group 1 Flight Stakes in Australia.

Having been broken in, Self Worth is now under the care of her trainer, Matt Cumani in Ballarat. Suffice to say the filly has done nothing but please. To see footage of her and hear her trainer’s thoughts last preparation, click below.

With all costs, including insurance, paid to the end of the season (July 31, 2021), a 5% interest will cost $5,050 plus GST. The attractive pricing, given her breeding and early positive signs, leaves a lot for her new owners to look forward to.
